Properly protect your critical assets from rust or corrosion

At Air Pac we’re the experts when it comes to providing sandblasting services that best protect your assets from the destructive forces of rust and corrosion. Our state-of-the-art heated facility also allows us to carry out sandblasting and protective coating 365 days a year. We prepare your products with various sandblasting mediums that allow us to achieve the specific profiles needed to apply the anti-corrosion and anti-rust paints. This can protect and enhance the life cycle of your assets for years to come and avoid costly downtime or repairs.

Mediums we use for sandblasting

Air Pac is proud to offer our sandblasting services using any of the following mediums:

  • Sand
  • Glass beads
  • Soda
  • Steel grit
  • Green Diamond
  • Black Beauty
  • Other abrasive cleaners (walnut shells, wheat, corn)

By being able to provide our sandblasting services in the above mediums we can ensure that the profile of your product will pass inspection and the protective paints in your specs will achieve outstanding performance in all aggressive and corrosive conditions.

Focused on environmentally sustainable sandblasting

Our state-of-the-art sandblasting facility is powered by an electric compressor which provides 900 CFM of air pressure through a network of underground pipes on our 4.75 acre facility. This provides all of our blasters with a consistent and uninterrupted supply of air. This in turn allows us to not only reduce our carbon footprint, but also reduces our dependence (and the inevitable downtime) that’s associated with regular diesel equipment.

We have the equipment needed to get your project done quickly

At Air Pac we have the equipment that’s needed to execute your project efficiently and on time. We have three RT (rough terrain) mobile cranes (12 ton, 14 ton, and 20 ton) along with a 10,000lb RT forklift at our sandblasting facility. This allows us to cut down on the amount of time it takes to transport your products from the delivery vehicle into our work area and vice versa. It removes all logistical issues when it comes to the delivery and pick up of your product.

The industry leader in quality

Air Pac prides itself on being the industry leader when it comes to quality. Our Total Quality philosophy drives everything we do and is reinforced by our commitment to checking and re-checking our work. Every pipe, vessel, and beam is inspected multiple times throughout the sandblasting process and everything is documented by our quality assurance specialists, who are overseen by a NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) Level 2 certified inspector.

Air Pac is proud to be on the approved vendor list for some of the largest energy companies in the world. These include:

  • TC Energy
  • Husky
  • Enbridge
  • Suncor Energy
  • Encana
  • Balzer’s Canada

What working with Air Pac looks like

Once you decide to work with us here is what you can expect:

  1. A purchase order is received with the details, specifications and the schedule.
  2. We review the specifications which have been outlined in the purchase order. This would include the blast media to be used, the grade of blast to be achieved, and the paint material selected.
  3. Depending on the complexity of the project, an ITP (Inspection Test Plan) may be sent to us by the customer to review.
  4. We will then send the ITP to a third-party inspector so they are aware of the job and its complexities.
  5. Our shop superintendent and quality control department will also review the ITP and the specifications for the project.
  6. Our Production team will then schedule the work according to our shop capacities.
  7. Once we confirm the details we will order the paint material from our supplier.
  8. We then schedule the blasting and inform the third-party inspectors so they are apprised of the schedule.
  9. Once the blasting has been completed and we get the necessary approvals from the inspectors we proceed to the next step which is painting the product.
  10. We then paint the product according to the specifications and will wait for the coating inspector's approval.
  11. The finished product is then loaded onto the trucks provided by the customer.
